Texas Genealogy Day
Live in or around San Antonio and want to get started on or improve your family history research skills? Spend Saturday, August 30th, on San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk at the 2014 Federation of Genealogical Societies’ national conference Gone to Texas and learn how to research your family history with a special one-day pass! For just $49, your special Saturday One-Day Pass gives you access to more than 35 presentations plus optional workshops and luncheons.
While you’re there, enjoy the conference’s free Exhibit Hall where you can visit with top vendors featuring the latest software, apps, books, maps, databases, and gadgets on the market for genealogists and family historians, as well as information about genealogical organizations. For the first time ever at FGS, there will be both a vendor demo stage and an education stage featuring approximately twenty half-hour presentations geared towards educating and motivating all attendees, but with a special focus on beginners or the casually curious.
Also in the exhibit hall, be sure and visit representatives from genealogical societies across the state as well as across the nation to see how genealogical societies can benefit you and your research. The TSGS booth will be located in booths 501/503 and we cannot wait to visit with you!
To register for the special Saturday One-Day Pass or to register for the full conference, please visit the FGS 2014 Gone to Texas Conference website.
