Entries are due 15 September for 2018 TxSGS Awards consideration.
Authors, abstractors, genealogy book compilers, and genealogy webmasters are in the front lines of a records preservation army that is actively making records available for easy access by genealogists. TxSGS honors those selfless volunteers through the TxSGS Awards program.
Have you written an article, published a book, or hosted a website? Submit your creation to TxSGS for award consideration. You may win a prize that includes a certificate, cash award, and recognition on the TxSGS website and in Stirpes! Separate categories are provided for professional and non-professional genealogists.
Genealogy societies are encouraged to enter their publications as well, including books, newsletters, quarterlies, and journals.
Encouraging the next generation of genealogists, TxSGS awards include categories for projects completed by elementary, intermediate, and high school students. These prizes also include a certificate and a cash prize, and recognition on the TxSGS website and in Stirpes.
Submit Student Projects, Manuscripts, Books, Society Publications, and More for a Chance to Win!
Don’t delay! Entries in all categories must be received no later than 15 September 2018. Bill Buckner, Awards Chair, encourages participants to mail their entries early to make sure they arrive by the deadline.
Submission guidelines for all TxSGS writing awards and student projects can be found on our website.
