Map It! Using Maps for Family History Research workshop

Maps provide a unique way of looking at and for our ancestors. This workshop will explore maps as a primary resource for genealogical research. Both state land records, represented by the Texas General Land Office records, and public land records, as part of the Bureau of Land Management database, will be presented.
Presenters will be Kevin Klaus, Information Specialist with the Texas General Land Office (GLO) Archives and Records; Greg Boyd, President of Arphax Publishing (www.arphax.com), and developer of the award-winning subscription service, HistoryGeo.com; and Bill Buckner and Hannah Kubacak of the Waco-McLennan County Library’s Genealogy Center.
This workshop is sponsored by the Genealogy Center of the Waco-McLennan County Library in cooperation with the Central Texas Genealogical Society.
