TxSGS 2024 Awards Announced at Annual Business Meeting on November 15, 2024
TxSGS would like to thank everyone who submitted entries for TxSGS 2024 Writing Awards. We celebrate with you your success in publishing. We know it has been a meaningful experience and in the end a journey well worth the effort. For those that placed in the competition please know we are proud that you represent the best in a competitive field. It gets better and better every year.
The Awards Program, rooted in the spirit of healthy competition, serves multiple purposes within the TxSGS community,
- Encouraging members to embrace the art of storytelling and to share their unique family narratives with a wider audience,
- Acknowledging and commending the diligent research and professional writing that underpin genealogy, and
- Underscoring the profound value of recording and preserving historical information for future generations.
In a world increasingly focused on technology and data, the Awards Program serves as an opportune moment to recognize and honor those who are actively dedicated to preserving memories for their descendants, ensuring that future generations will have a deep and meaningful connection to their roots and heritage.
The TxSGS Awards Program presents awards in the categories of books, manuscripts, periodicals, websites, student projects, and the newest award category, blogs by individuals or Partner Societies.
