Austin Genealogical Society (TxSGS Partner Society)

Meets at 7:00 PM on the 4th Tuesday of the month January; February; March; April; May; June; July; August; September; October & November.

On Zoom since April 2020. Considering a partial return in person later next year (2022). Meetings are generally 4th Tuesday evenings but special meetings have been on Saturday afternoons. Members have access to recordings and handouts from most of our past meetings; and other society records. They have discounted attendance fees for our annual summer seminar.

George Washington Carver Genealogy Center

The Genealogy Center is an extension of the Carver Museum and Cultural Center and acts as a public resource for learning about family history. The Center provides access to genealogical information such as databases; books; instructive material and monthly seminars. Although the center is set up as a self-guided experience; it will provide limited genealogical assistance. We want to be the repository for your African American family history. If you would like to donate your family history to the Center; please contact us.


German Texan Heritage Society (TxSGS Partner Society)

Pre-pandemic; we met at the Mexican American Cultural Center; at this time we conduct meetings via Zoom. Member benefits include: voting privileges for officers and how funds are utilized; advanced notifications of all private functions and special events; reduced admissions to special events; and supporting fellow members with their research.

William Barret Travis #3 Chapter Daughters of the Republic of Texas (TxSGS Partner Society)

The William Barret Travis Chapter was the third chapter of the DRT; chartered in Austin in 1892 with 27 members and Rebecca Fisher as its first president. The William Barret Travis Chapter established the Republic of Texas Museum in 1903 in a single room of the State Capitol.
