Morris - Warren James Morris - Brief bio



Warren James Morris moved in 1849 to James Town, Smith County; by 1850 he was living in "My Subdivision," Smith County, Texas, working as a teacher. His son Joseph Lumpkin Morris was born 14 Jun 1852 in Smith County; five other children were also born there. In 1870 the family lived in Garden Valley, Smith County. They continued to reside in Smith County in 1880.

Death certificates of the children of Warren and Frances list their parents names; US Census 1850 Smith County, Texas, living in "My Subdivision", working as a Teacher; US Census 1860 Smith County, Texas, living in James Town, owned real estate; US Census 1870 Smith County, Texas, living in Garden Valley.
