Spencer - Charlotte Spencer - Brief bio



On 26 Dec 1844 Charlotte Spencer married her first husband, Thomas Dugger, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Their daughter, Nancy was born 23 Nov 1845. Thomas died around 1850. Charlotte married her second husband, William Benjamin McKaughan, 20 Oct 1852, also in Nacogdoches County. After his death 5 May 1868, she continued to raise their children in Texas. She was alive in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas in 1900.
