Delacerda - Santiago "James" Delacerda - Brief bio



Santiago "James" Delacerda was born to Atanacio "Tenas" Delacerda and Maria Ildifonsa Sims near Nacogdoches, Texas, just prior to the Texas Revolution. His paternal grandfather, Nepomuceno Delacerda was a soldier at Los Adaes, Texas. Nepomuceno Delacerda was granted 1 porcion of land 3 May 1792 in Nacogdoches. He is found in the Texas Land Grants as Nepomuceno de la Zerda. Santiago's maternal grandparents were Richard Sims and Maria Concepcion Perez. Maria Concepcion Perez was born at the Royal Presidio de Bexar in 1768.
